To artists and art lovers everywhere -

A unique background and extensive sales and marketing experience make Ingrid Wypkema well suited to her Vancouver, BC based art business.

Ingrid’s intense love of beauty and nature began at an early age in rural southern Ontario, and continue to be a very important part of her life.  An interesting career path stemming from her science degree in natural resource management led her to work in the wilderness of northern Ontario, eastern Canada and BC, and as the marketing manager for a Vancouver based environmental consulting firm.

Over the years, circumstances led Ingrid to re-evaluate her life, and to pursue one of her passions, namely photography.  While attending a photography workshop, Ingrid was so inspired that she was asked to become the workshop director for what was then known as the Whistler Centre for Business and the Arts.

Having had the good fortune to work with a series of highly gifted, well known and artistic photographers such as Freeman Patterson and Dewitt Jones deepened Ingrid’s appreciation for beauty, nature and creativity.

Her initiative and enthusiasm enabled her to work with a highly successful commercial photographer, Bryan Peterson, and for a long established heli-ski photographer in BC’s interior.  Ingrid also marketed and sold her own work, as well as that of other photographers, and was the only photographer invited to display her images at a Vancouver art show with a dozen other artists.

A job at a downtown Vancouver art gallery quickly evolved into a managerial position which  she held for over 12 years.  During that time, she focused on sales and marketing, client liaison and displays for the gallery.  She built many excellent connections with artists and clients, many of which she still maintains today.

Now working independently in her own business, Ingrid is honoured to represent well known and respected artists Robert Genn, and Alan Wylie amongst others.

“Some of my happiest times have been in nature, photographing and capturing the beauty I see and so deeply appreciate.  My goal is to help artists pursue their own passions and creativity, and to assist my clients in finding beautiful art that will give them ongoing enjoyment, inspiration and value.”
